This is a very nice lighter weight medium size djembe from Guinea. We headed this drum with a medium thick cow skin in order to create a very responsive yet woody feel. This is a great djembe for anyone who is concerned about the weight of a hardwood djembe - it will make an excellent traveler.  We tuned this djembe very tight, so there is very good seperation between bass, tone and slap.
