This is a solid shell Quinto hand carved in Mali. We professionally headed this drum with thick cow skins from Guinea and tuned it to our specifications. This drum plays like the familiar hardware tuned congas, but it has more of a raw, earthy feel resulting from its solid shell, rope tuning and non-processed cow skin.
