This is a seriously custom djembe that we headed with the soloist in mind. The shell is Lenke wood from Guinea and is very well carved with good wall thickness and great proportions. We used a heavier skin and pulled it very tight. The sound is high and extremely clean. This djembe definitely pulls a lot of volume and is a "fast" playing drum due to the tight tuning. It comes with the custom outer rope wrap and a set of 3 large Sege Sege from Guinea (over $100 value). We highly recommend this djembe for someone looking to increase their speed and volume while soloing. This is a very fun djembe to play!
